The Field Investigation lesson is an excellent example of planning and carrying out an investigation. Your students tap into their natural curiosity to learn about a local wetland area, making learning real-world and relevant. Using the videos below, your students are taken “into the field” by a group of young scientists who are evaluating whether the Hassayampa River Preserve is a healthy riparian area. Students will see our young scientists share and learn from each other as they conduct field science investigations in Aquatic Biology, Water Chemistry, Botany, Soil Science and/or Entomology. You can use this lesson to get students excited about planning and carrying out investigations!

What will your students discover as they watch these budding scientists plan and carry out multiple field investigations?
